Your first appointment will typically last an hour and will involve filling out some intake paperwork, an assessment of you and mental health care plan, and your goals and expectations for treatment.

Our House Our Haven is funded by the Primary Health Network for clients in the Ipswich, Lockyer Valley (Plainlands) and Somerset (Lowood, Esk & Toogoolawah) areas. Appointments are free for clients who can provide a current Mental Health Care Plan and referral from their GP or psychiatrist. 

Private therapy services (not PHN funded) are available to anyone from any area – fees are:
Individual Counselling: $90 each
Counselling group (group of 3): $50 each

For children under 18 years, this will depend on the child’s age and needs. Generally, parents or guardians are involved in the intake process, and are often included in treatment as well.

For adults, this will depend on what feels comfortable and medically necessary for the client and the clinician.

Unfortunately, there is no public transport available to Karalee House. If you have mobility or transport issues, consider arranging a home visit with us instead.

Karalee House is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 4pm.
